ILLUMINATE rolls out two new spots for Pittsburgh's most exciting skateshop, FALLOUT. These spots employ documentary/confessional style to convey a lifestyle of skating. Creative Director, Matthew J. Fridg, worked closely with the shop owners to come up with the look and feel of the spots. With the creative use of Super 8mm film, HD footage and some great skating, this spot really delivers. Pittsburgh 250 Short Films to Screen - March 26, 2008 09:03am
Matthew J. Fridg is one of the selected filmmakers to produce and screen a short film for the Pittsburgh 250 celebration through Pittsburgh Neighborhood Narratives. His short film follows the quest of a young librarian through Homestead as she attempts to deliver a mysterious lost envelope from World War II to its rightful owner. This and other films will screen later in the year as part of the 250th anniversary celebration for Pittsburgh.

Nearly completed with his medical residency, Malcolm has taken his
father’s advice and bought a diamond engagement ring. Malcolm
has decided to take some time off and return to his hometown to
share his news with his father. His journey of happiness, however,
soon turns somber when he receives a tragic telephone call while
traveling home. This short film examines how one man copes with
tragedy. Through struggle, hope can bloom.
